#Subsonic rounds without suppressor crack
With supersonic rounds, much of the noise is ballistic crack and therefor downrange as you are doubtless aware. At 200 yards though a 200gr sub still hits with more force than a. 308 rounds are a blast to shoot but not very good past 300 yards because the drop is too much. Like I said I'm not trying to belittle anyone I just want to clear up a misconception and the best way to do that is with evidence. That is 100% hearing safe even if fired all day long. There has been zero sound editing to this vid, the recording device did not auto mute any loud noises, you can clearly hear the bullet striking the target 50 yards away which is louder than the actual firing of the round, the bolt action is clearly heard and the last dry fire I did so you could hear how loud the firing pin is. 308 Lapua 200gr bullet traveling around 1050fps which at 60 degrees Fahrenheit is about 50fps slower than the speed of sound (speed of sound changes with temp, lower temp lower fps speed of sound).
